Shi-Zheng Chen is a renowned singer, choreographer and director of operas all over the world. I spoke with him at the San Francisco Asian Fim Festival where his directorial debut feature film, “Dark Matter” played closing night.

My name is Alexis Gambis, originally from Paris France but now a graduate student at the bio-medical institute Rockefeller University in NY. Coming from a background of artists, I have always been fascinated by the intersection between science and art and especially the use of science in film. This has led me to become the coordinator of the film series. I had one last favor to ask you. I dont know if you are aware but Chen Shi-zheng is adapting the play Monkey: Journey to the West – a Chinese legend Journey to the West – at the Chateau Musical in Paris. I am originally from Paris and I happen to be here for another 10 days and came across this information. Do you know whether Chen Shi-zheng will be here for the first performance on Sept 24th. If yes, it would be a wonderful opportunity to meet him. Any information would be most appreciated.
